a bit about us:
We are L.P Miller's Gay-Straight Alliance group. The club is open to all students between the grades of 7-12. Our mission is to provide an inclusive and safe place for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, queer, two spirit and questioning (LGBTQ2) community, educating allies to help raise awareness and most importantly promoting a community that accepts and values diversity.
What we do?
L.P Miller's GSA is one of the newest clubs within our school. This first year we did a few things that were exciting for our GSA. Our purpose is to get people involved ans provide an area that is safe, while also being tons of fun! Some of the activities we did this year include:

Hosting a Minute to Win It night

Meetings during lunches

Hosted a video game tournament/ Movie night

Raised awareness for pride week in Saskatoon by making posters and displaying them in the school

Organized a pizza sale

handed out free rainbow cookies to students in the hallway for Pride Week
Future Goals!!!
Our goal for the future is to get more students involved! It is important to remember that identifying as a certain gender or sexual orientation is not mandatory for joining a GSA. A huge part of this organiziation is dependent on the support of Allies.
